FaithWorks is based on James 2 - "You can no more show me your works apart from your faith than I can show you my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, works and faith, fit together hand in glove."  The Message

The FaithWorks team has adopted a new motto of “God's love in action” inspired by the words of Mother Teresa in her book, The Simple Path.  Over the past three months we have made connections on Saturday mornings with the following social services: Gray’s Academy Center for Early Childhood Education, Joy House, Northcott Neighborhood House, Repairers of the Breach for the Homeless, Family House, The Salvation Army, and United Methodist Children’s

Services. We have also made cards for veterans, delivered pumpkins and poinsettias, and done yard cleanup for our own church members.

Out in the World - Saturday, May 10

1)       Repairers of the Breach (adults only) - this is an agency that serves the homeless.  There are many volunteer opportunities from tutoring for the GED to washing towels at a Laundromat, sorting clothing donations, and handing them out. 

2)       United Methodist Children's Services - hands-on work needed for their apartment refurbishing project.     

3)       Gray's Academy- providing K4 through 5th grade classes through the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program. We do cleaning, painting, and odd jobs that help them to keep this valuable program running.

4)       Make and deliver 100 JOY House lunches. Contribute $$ or ingredients for 100 lunches for JOY House (someone will call
you) Ingredients include:  lunch bags, sandwich bags, bread,
peanut butter, jelly, granola bars, apples or oranges, and a
non-food treat such as pencil, note, etc., )

5)    Guest House - a new service opportunity to minister to the homeless.

6)       Help wherever I'm needed this day!

There are children's and adult sizes. The cost per shirt is $20.
