2nd Saturday of the month

A volunteer ministry that meets the 2nd
Saturday of the month for breakfast and devotions followed by community work and/or a service project
at church. Great opportunity for families! There is
something for everyone to do!
FaithWorks is based on James 2 - "You can
no more show me your works apart from your faith than I can show you
my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, works and faith, fit

"God's Love in Action" |
|
|
|
|
The FaithWorks team has
adopted a new motto of “God's love in action” inspired by the words of
Mother Teresa in her book, The
Simple Path. We have made
connections on Saturday mornings with the following social services:
Gray’s Academy Center for Early Childhood Education, Joy House, Northcott Neighborhood House, Repairers of the Breach for the
Homeless, Family House, The Salvation Army, and United Methodist
Children’s
Services. We have also made
cards for veterans, delivered pumpkins and poinsettias, and done
yard cleanup for our own church members.

Service
Opportunities:
1)
Repairers of the Breach (adults only) - this is an
agency that serves the homeless. There are many volunteer
opportunities from tutoring for the GED to washing towels at a
laundromat, sorting clothing donations, and handing them out.
2)
Guest House -
a new service opportunity to minister to
the homeless.
3)
Gray's Academy -
cleaning, painting, and odd jobs that help keep a
Milwaukee Choice program open for K4 through 5th grade.
4)
United Methodist Children’s Services - we'll do hands on work to support their ministry
to the community.
5)
Northcott Neighborhood House
- sorting and organizing their closets for shoppers during the week.
6)
Help
wherever you're needed that day.

T-Shirts |
|
|
|
|
Long-Sleeve T-Shirts with the FaithWorks logo are available
for purchase. There are children's and adult sizes. The cost per
shirt is $20.
They can be purchased in the church office or at FaithWorks.
|
|
|
|
Business Cards |
|
|
|
|
Business size cards with the FaithWorks logo are also
available. Use these to invite your friends to join you. Leave them
when you serve others to invite them to worship with us. The cards
are available around the church and in the church office. There is
no cost to these cards.
