    Prime Timers Ministry

As people mature and enter what many consider “the prime time of life,” they face new challenges and have changing interests and needs. While their service to the church in all areas continues to be valuable and welcome, they also find there is now more time in their lives for recreational activities. So the “Prime Timers Council” plans monthly opportunities for fellowship, as well as occasional trips for those who still wish to travel.

Monthly luncheons are offered in Fellowship Hall from September through May, usually on the third Tuesday. Cost is $8.00 per person. Entertainment follows each program, usually in the sanctuary.

  2008 Fall Trip

Biltmore Estate

Ashville, North Carolina

The 2008 fall trip will be to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. We’ll travel by luxury motorcoach to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where we’ll tour the largest privately-owned home in America, with 250 rooms and 65 fireplaces! This is a “must see” destination! In addition to the gorgeous home and gardens, we’ll also tour Asheville, with its Art Deco architecture, visit a folk art center, and see St. Lawrence Basilica. We’ll also tour the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, and on the way home, we’ll stop at the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea, Kentucky. The trip is run by Diamond Tours and costs only $499 per person (double occupancy, plus personal expenses).  Note: This trip requires a significant amount of walking. Contact Pastor Janet to receive a brochure.
