What will campers be doing at camp?
Campers will have a traditional camp experience
including living in cabins, doing crafts,
swimming and boating, playing capture the flag,
soccer and other group games, and enjoying songs
and s'mores around the campfire. This is
combined with activities, devotions, speakers
and small group bible activities exploring and
celebrating our Christian faith.
Who can participate?
Students entering grades 3-8 in Fall 2011 can
attend the Junior/Junior High Camp. Students
entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2011 can attend the
High School Camp.
What are the living accommodations like?
Campers sleep in traditional cabins with beds
and electricity. Campers bring sleeping bags or
sheets and blankets. Cabins for the youngest
children have bathrooms. Most campers will use
separate bathhouses with showers and toilets.
Children understand that counselors escort them
to the restrooms during the night as needed.

Are campers supervised?
Camp is highly supervised. Cabins are
segregated by gender and grade, and each cabin
of 4-10 campers has at least one adult counselor
and one high school or college counselor. Camp
Lucerne has a full-time resident professional
staff to provide medical assistance, waterfront
safety, and assure the camp is safe at all
times.
What is the food like?
Camp Lucerne has a full time kitchen staff and
spacious dining room. Meals are typical camp
fare such as pancakes, fruit and sausage for
breakfast, pizza for lunch, and burgers for
dinner. Special dietary needs can be
accommodated.
What is the camper fee?
$195 for church members, and $215 for
non-members. The cost of the camp should not be
a reason to prevent your child from attending.
Scholarships are available.
