The purpose of the Sandwich
Generation is to support persons who are caring for aging parents,
while still having responsibilities for children, youth or young
adult family members. This is not a ‘therapeutic support group’
per se, but provides printed and film resources, programs, and
speakers on a wide variety of topics for those who still have care
responsibilities for aging loved ones.
This is an ‘open invitation’
group to others who are non-church members, with programs promoted in the
community at large. We seek as often as possible to address topics
and to secure speakers from an ecumenical faith perspective.
Programs scheduled for 2011-2012
are all on third
Tuesday evenings October through May from 7:00-8:30 pm in
the Walnut Room, at no cost, but free will donations are
accepted. Updates to our website are made from time to time
and you can find us under the Caring Ministries link.
