Every three months the children’s Sunday School
engages in a learning/giving mission project that is either global,
national or local. This project is global and relates also to our
church-wide theme of “The Year of Prayer.” The offering of at least
$800+ which will be received in March through May will support the
United Methodist Advance “Combermere Prayer and Faith Formation
Complex” in the Leeward Islands. This is a school complex that
takes children at risk from throughout the community for faith
building, devotion and prayer activities, along with providing
tutoring and a health gym complex.

This is an annual all church October/mid
November collection of personal hygiene, candy, small toy items that
is sponsored by the Children’s Education Team. Completed shoeboxes
are then taken to the local center downtown and shipped to a
regional processing center in Minneapolis and then on to millions of
needy children worldwide. A group ‘pizza party/packing night is
held the third Thursday night of November in Fellowship Hall.
