Blood Drive Announcement
Our next Blood Drive is Thursday, May 15th, from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.

Blood is life.  There is no substitute.  Every three seconds, someone in our community needs blood.  If you are in good health, age 17 or over, and weigh at least 110 pounds, donating blood is a quick, easy, and safe way to give the gift of life.
The whole process, including sign-in, interview and snack time, takes less than an hour.  It doesn’t really hurt - you might feel a pinch when the needle first goes into your arm.  During that pinch, think about the patient – maybe a young child, mother, or a grandparent – who really needs your precious gift.

Annual Church Conference

Another busy church year is coming to an end, which means it is time for Church Conference. The Conference is our annual, all-church meeting that brings everyone together to conduct some of our business. Everyone in the church is invited and encouraged to attend.  This year we are adding a potluck dinner preceding the meeting because we are celebrating so many positive accomplishments..... and, we always like to get together for fellowship and good food!

The evening will begin with dinner, photos of our church family and music.  The business meeting will be chaired by Rev. Larry McGuin from Kenwood United Methodist Church. The meeting agenda includes election of all ministry team members, setting of pastoral support, budget approval, a report from lay leaders on the various program ministries, and a remembrance of members who have passed away during the past year.  We will also take a look at some exciting plans for what's coming next in two specific areas –  we will see the new website and learn of future plans as well as hear about the experiences of those at the Honduras work camp and their dream for establishing a sister church.

Everyone is invited – please come, help us celebrate our ministry, and learn about all that is happening!
